The letter also contains a list of documents which may be accepted to grant additional percentage of pension to pensioners and family pensioners over the age of 80 years.
Veterans, widows and war widows facing problems concerning grant of enhanced pension and family pension may bring this letter to the knowledge of PDAs such as Banks and DPDOs.

My bank, Allahabad Bank at Hyderabad has got no clue and not credited arrears till date.It is crediting pension at pre 2006 rates with 16% DA !
Can we proceed legally?

It is very sad that scope for interaction would be withdrawn.
DP&PW OM dt21 May 09 has instucted Min of Def and Rlys to issue similar instructions. So far no such letter has been issued / received by the PDAs in regard to Def Pensioners regarding proof of age for additional pension.Would you know what is being done by the Dept of ESW of MOD about this?
