Officers, especially those on deputation to other organisations in Delhi, have intermittently sought information about their entitlement to the scale of accommodation in the Capital.
House allotment in Delhi is determined by ‘The Allotment of Government Residences (General Pool in Delhi) Rules, 1963’, which were recently amended in Feb 2009 to incorporate entitlement in accordance with the new 6th CPC scales.

The Army should move for the higher grade i.e 8700 since you cannot degrade a rank and bring it down since it is discriminatory
If any Lt Col or eqiv is allotted a Dy Secy accn he should approach a civil court for justice.

Please enlighten us on Col (TS ) issue .Isn't a lots of brainstorming is going on to decide the year of service ie whether 18,20,23 yr to confer TS . when most of the promotion in central govt are based on length of service then why this 'TS'is taken as stigma in Armed Forces.we are no different.

WHAT IS THE LATEST ON THIS ISSUE.
ALSO, WHAT IS THE ARMY'S PRESENT POSITION ON THIS?
ARE THEY ALREADY IMPLEMENTING THE AVSC RECOMMENDATIONS OF 15 /16 YRS ETC. CAN U ELABORATE.

In the latest notification issued on 21 Aug 09, the Grade Pay of Lt Cols (i.e. Rs 8000/-) has been included at par with Grade Pay of Deputy Secretary (i.e. Rs 7600/-) and accordingly Lt Cols have only been entitled for 'V-A(D-II)' type accomodation.Isn't it another blow on the status(?) of Lt Col??
and so the after effects of lower grade pay continue on and on ...
since the other services have higher grade pay our officers will always get smaller houses to stay
people with 18 yrs of service will get bunglows and we`ll work hard to get type iv houses along with other class ii officers

also can some body tell what does type iv, ivA, v etc mean in terms of size of the house

also maj was earlier eligible for type v a as his basic and rank pay were above 12000 but now he has been relegated to type iv
i think its time to wake up now to save our izzat otherwise god save us from the downfall
i hope next pay commision doesnt equate some of us to ldc and udc
THE IZZAT OF SGT AND ITS EUIV IN ARMY/NAVY IS ALREADY TAKEN BY PUTTING THEM ALONG WITH UNPARALLEL IN PB-1. THEY DEFINETLY DESERVE PB-2.
Dear Navdeep let me tell you are doing gods job by informing all faujis about their benefit and keeping them in good spirit.
Pl help how the Lt Col and equivalent posted to Delhi can be authorised for D I house since their grade pay is 8000 as cheated by Babus again, instead of 8700 they gave 8000/ Now officer with 8700 and 8900 authorised D I accomodation but what type is applicable to 8000 grade pay.
I think it is high time that Govt should start respecting Defence and put them back in same bracket as babu of 15 yr service.
By the way can you really help tell boss of defence that please please de link the grade pay from rank and one should get that as per eqquilent numbers yrs of services as for civilian babus.
