A New Year Gift, but please handle with care !

As an experiment, I am introducing a registration based chat-box on the blog as a new year gift for all those consistent requests.

Please be sensitive to the fact that generalised direct or indirect slants against any organisation, individual or service would not be tolerated and shall be promptly expunged. Anyone indulging in abusive or slanderous behaviour would also be banned without notice. Please maintain the dignity of the military community. The Chat-box can only be used for discussing military benefits and providing links on the subject.

To remind the readers of this blog, this is the reason why the chat-box was suspended. I would not hesitate in closing the box again if the need arises and consider this a beta version in that sense.

Please go through the rules of chatting before hitting that keyboard :-)

Thanks, and a Happy New Year. Here’s to world peace !!!

Yes, the Govt of India in Sept 09 (?) has authorised spl fam pension to pre-96 re-married widows. For current cases, there is no bar on spl fam pen on re-marriage.

  12. Dear Navdeep,
Any further info on revision of Disabilty pension rates of pre2006?
Who is competent to refer this to Anomoly Committee?Since the ESW Dept(MOD)is disinterested can the IESM appch Anomoly committee on this?

  13. @Brig ASK

Sir. It would be wrong to assume that the Deptt of ESW is disinterested.

The letter is expected any moment now.

No anomaly committee related to the above mentioned issue is in session since the same has been deliberated upon and referred to the MoD which has already accepted the rectification in principle the letter for which would be out soon.

    I hope this clarifies :- )

  17. Dear sir,
a lot of anomalies have been removed regarding the outdated army rules e.g.travelling restr of 1450 km for use of free warrants etc,i wish army personnel be allowed to use their own car while travelling on AL/CL.No point in locking up their cars in garage in their duty stn and then requesting their parents for car to move around in their leave stns?
