  3. Anamolies removed or anamolies created ???Another case of discrimination within the army.

With the pay commission we can fight and include COL's in Pay Band 4 along with Brigs & Maj Gens but in CSD facilities we downgradfe them to PB-3 .

No wonder the civilians in MES downgrade the Cols/Lt Cols when compared to their own ranks.

Will some corrective action be taken to remove this anamoly !!!!

  5. Though occasional administrative fine tuning may be necessary, as in the present case, it may well now be time to have a strategic, conceptual level view on the ways and means of enhancing the quality of delivery of service to entitled personnel through the CSD.

All issues do not get reported upon or become the source of litigation, but there have been instances which serve to indicate that mere removal of minor anomalies or enhancing entitlements do not serve to adequately palliate shortfalls in the whole system.

  6. we all in the officer cadre are suppose to be "brother officers" so to say it seems .another line drawn in the feudal cast system of the defence forces.

    Dear Mr Annoymous,
The matter may be relating to the liquor quota. So, although I tended to agree with your observation initially, it does not hold much of substance. Next you will ask for the anomaly of Maj to Brig entitled for 3 room accomodation to be removed. There is no end.
    Navdeep,
Is it the liquor quota. Doesn't matter to me since I have not drawn liquor for the past 6 months and went to the CSD just once. Reliance and such malls are convinient and cheaper.

  8. dear wg cdr,
the anomaly of Maj to Brig entitled for 3 room accomodation to be removed does not come in here accn scale is as per rank gp and which takes in account the size of the family also in it(family grows with rank upto a level).CSD is about consumer goods weather it is liquor or other goods different scale in offrs group is not good.and if it is liquor as you presume then the scale should be reverse as a young office his SELF consumption is more the higher you go the older you get and the less you should drink.( now dont tell me its for the guest and friends also) .you are most welcome to go the malls which are not everywhere.

  9. Im afraid that our organisation is yet to face the actual problem. i do not understand what ideas promote such a miscalculated decision.
This is going to further create the ever increasing gap within the officer cadre.
There are other burning issues to be resolved for the armed forces which our learned representatives have not been able to put up in the required forums.
